රන් හට්ටය හැද
රන් පටියෙහි
දිග කඩුව බැද
අසු පිට නගුනු කුමරයා
ගම් නියම් ගම් රජධානි
පසුකොට ගියේය
පස් වසක් ගමන් කළ ඔ
විවාහ කොට ගත් කුමරිය
ගෙන එමට
තව පස් වසක් ගත විය
“එවනි රුවක් නොදිටිනු
ඈ ගෙන දින
පුර වස්සො කිහ
එදින හවස් කල
පුර දොර අසලදි
රජ ගෙදර දොරටු පල්ලාගෙ දුව
ක්‍රිෂ්ණා
කුමරුට හමු විය
“ති කවුරැ”දෑ යි
ඔහු විස්මයෙන් ඇසිය
“තිගෙ වැනි රුවක්”
මම කිසි කලක නොදිටිමි.”

මහවිලච්චියේ ගොවියෝ සහ තාක්ෂණය
