NIIT course

These days I’m following a “NIIT” computer course through the Horizon Lanka Foundation. And I’m busy with my home works. I will write about “NIIT” course later.

Studying really hard….

I got up with the elarm at 5.00 pm. My mum makes to me my milk. I’m going to have my O/L examination on next Monday. So I’m studying really hard for that. In the evening I’m watched Social Study lesson program on TV. It is very good program for us and it help to us our O/L exam.

Protect our Environment

Environments are trees, birds, town, water falls, peoples, animals, village house and others. Cut trees it is a dessert people cannot live in a dessert. People down and destroy tress. Because of that the temperature goes nigh and less rain. Without rain people cannot do their cultivation and people have a die in hungry. Not only that the polluted environment hams the cultivation.

We should grow trees for cut down trees. The uses of trees are frets, timber, medicines wood, shade and firewood. Environment pollution acorn because of the smoke from factories, vehicles and the pesticides. Because of environmental pollution diseases are spread. So we should not do any thing harmful to the environment.

The environments shouldn’t are cut down trees, spit on the road, use vehicles that below and put rubbish in to water way. UN clean air and Fume spoil the skies. Because we are clean the environments.

I ported you environments should do are grow trees grow more flowers, burnout garbage, put garbage in to a bin, clean the drains and use ploy thane. We hope to love to environments.

My Country

My country is Sri Lanka. It is and island. It is called as “The pearl” in the Indian Ocean. My country is very beautiful. It is surrounded by the Indian Ocean. So is has beautiful costal Arial there is a hilly every in the meddle of the country Many reveres start from these mountains.

There many forest in Sri Lanka some of them are Sinharaja, Yala and Vilpaththu many animals live in these forest. There from natural nobles as well. Many tow arise came to my country because of it beautiful. Sri Lanka has a tropical climate. The ico-name of my country depends on age calcha.

We export tea, coconut and Rabar. Our fore father exported rice during the right of king Parakramabahu. Our sepal food is rice. President name is Mr.Mahinda Rajapaksha.

There are many sacred adcty in Sri Lanka some of are Anuradhapura. There are many nations in my country. They are Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and Burgher. I’m very happy to the boning my country. I love my country and I wish her all the best.

King Dutugemunu

King Dutugemunu’s father was King Kawanthissa and mother was Vihara Mahadevi. He had a brother. His name was King Thissa. King Dutugemunu’s greatest work is building Ruwanweliseya pagoda. He lived in Anuradhapura. King Dutugemunu fought with king Elara. King Dutugemunu builds Lowamahapaya and Mirisawetiya. King gemunu built Mirisawetiya first. He ruled Sri Lanka for 24 hours. Dutugemunu’s brother, king Thissa went to Digamadulla. Dutugemunu’s father died.

Tsunami Disaster

Tsunami is a Japanese word for terrible tidal wave after an earth- quake in the ocean bed. We all come to know about this type of disaster after 26^th December 2004. It was a day that huge waves of the sea destroyed thousands of lives in the coastal regions of many Asian countries. It destroyed not only the lives of the humans but also the houses, properties and vehicles. The earth-quake was near Sumatra 1400 km away from Sri Lanka. The huge tidal waves hit the entire coastal regions of Sri Lanka. The countries, like India, Maldives, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand also were affected.

That horrified night-mare caused thousands of death on our country and millions of people were displaced. Not only the buses, vans, cars, but also the heavy rail way engines and compartments were also carried away by the waves. Many Innocent babies were snatched away from their mothers. We can never forget this disaster forever.

All the people from unaffected areas donated dry rations, water, clothes, medicine and other things to the displaced people.

Our Sri Lanka geologists could not give the people in coastal regions any prior information about the disaster by which a thick damage was caused. However, we heard that geologists in Sri Lanka are going to take necessary steps to establish a system to warn the people about a Tsunami if comes in future.

 

Scarecrow

Scarecrow is a like a man. It is in the middle of a paddy-field and garden.

It stays there till paddy has turned golden. It wears my dad’s old shirt trouser and hat on its head. It has no beard. It stays like a bold, bald, old man. It is kept to scare the crows. Two sticks for hands and two sticks for legs.

His eyes, nose, mouth are earning with the bushels and his head is made of a clay pot. Inside his body is made filling the inside with straw. He always looks at the same aim and he cannot work.

Hello, Nishanthi Dilrukshi is my name. I’m fifteen years old. I’m a student of the Horizon Lanka Foundation. My hobby is taking photos and my ambition is become a photograph. I like to leaning about digital camera and photograph. I have two brothers and three sisters. My sisters are Gayani Pushpa Kumari, NIrmala Sarojani and Krishanthi Priyadarshani. My brothers are Dinesh Pradeep Kumara and Buddhika Prasanna Kumara. My elder sister marred now. They are study at Horizon Lanka Foundation. My favorite subjects are English and computer.

I like to learn Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Golive, MS office and Power Point. Once I get a good knowledge of computers. We have one computer at our home. I hope to buy a brand new computer.
